Another Rabbit in the Freezer...

Happy New Year! We went out on this brisk January day and hunted both the Mayer and Jost property. Owen and Gavin served as beagles for Rob, Dad, Devon and I. We got shutout at the Mayer's which was a big surprise to us as we didn't even see a rabbit. We then went over to Jost's and almost immediately kicked up a rabbit that ran between us all and got away. We were all but prepared to head home skunked when Dad suggested there was one more place we could try on the back side of Jost's along the creek. We walked it and Owen and I kicked up a bunny by a pile of old tires that we got.

Gavin and Rob headed back early to the Vater House to fire up some nice hot cocoa while we cleaned the rabbit. That puts three bunnies up for the big Bob Vater Game Feed coming this spring. Can't wait.
